To help provide a safe purchasing experience, Cool Toad™ is offering a free guarantee to all buyers completing transactions within in North America or Western Europe. This guarantee provides the buyer with up to $30.00 US protection against fraudulent or misleading sellers.

The conditions of this guarantee are as follows:

1. When a transaction problem occurs the buyer and seller will attempt to come to an agreement prior to making a claim to Cool Toad. Cool Toad management, upon learning of this disagreement will attempt to intervene to bring an amicable solution to the problem.
    
2. Any item sold directly through Cool Toad is covered by this guarantee up to a total of $30.00 US, up to a buyer claim of one per month and to a maximum of $500.00 US over the buyer's life-time.
    
3. Any side deals or other transactions not handled solely through Cool Toad Auctions are not eligible for coverage.
    
4. The buyer must file the claim between 30 and 60 days from the end of the item's auction. The buyer must have been the high bidder and met the reserve price if applicable and the auction item must comply with our terms and conditions as well as our acceptable item policy.
    
5. Items damaged or lost during shipment are not covered by our guarantee. Most shipping companies offer insurance and if you elect not to insure the item with the shipping company then you have assumed the risk.
    
6. Our guarantee is secondary to any other recourse, for example you may have coverage under your credit card contract or an insurance policy and we do not provide a guarantee if you can recover the first $30.00 US of your loss through other means.
    
7. Cool Toad reserves the right to replace an item with another identical item rather that reimbursing cash.
    
8. Any fraud or willfully false statement in a statutory declaration in relations to any particulars of a claim will invalidate the claim of the person making the declaration.
    
9. We will terminate the account of any persons who commits a fraud of any nature on our sites.
    
10. Reimbursement fees will only cover final bid price up to $30.00 US if an actual fraud has been committed.
     
11. Some valid claims include: 
    
      - Money was sent to the seller in good faith but the seller never shipped an item.
      - The item received is significantly different from the seller's description.
