Help > Email > Filters

Under the Email tab on the Options screen you have the ability to manage your filters, which are a method of restricting incoming messages based on certain criteria.

There are currently two types of filters available:

  • Unsolicited bulk email (SPAM) filters
  • Adult content filters

The "Unsolicited bulk email" filters are always enabled and do their best to block incoming messages which are from known 'spammers' or which contain content known to be spam - this often includes specific URL's in unsolicited messages which are used to attempt to track who views their messages. These spam filters are continuously being updated, however in order to ensure that legitimate mail is not blocked sometimes unsolicited mail will still get through.

The "Adult Content Filters" are completely optional and available to prevent messages containing adult-related words or phrases, such as swearing. They can also be configured to be more aggressive and restrict messages containing references to human anatomy which may be inappropriate for younger children.

To access and change your filter settings:

  • Click on the "Options" button on the left-side folder window
  • Click on the "Email" tab
  • Change your filter settings as required
  • Click on the "Save" button to save your changes

Note: Changes to your filtering does not effect any messages you have already received.
